ACTING FOR CAMERA COURSE.

THIS COURSE IS LIMITED TO 6 PARTICIPANTS
This exciting, practical course is suitable for anyone wishing to develop their acting for camera skills and promote themselves into the film and television industry. There are 7 weeks each with a 3 hour classtime. Please see below for dates, times, venue, etc.
The course will focus on:
Acting - Textual analysis; Creating a solid character; Human communicative chemistry; Active listening; Imagination, Spontaneity, 'Aliveness'; Emotional contact; Storytelling; Refining your performance; Confidence on the film/TV set.
Filming - Technical vocabulary; Crew hierarchy; Shot sizes; Eye-lines; Hitting your mark; Concentration, focus and relaxation on camera.
Also - Scene study; A filmed scene or monologue; Analyses of TV scenes from popular programmes.
The course will be directed by Kath Rogers. Kath trained as an actor at RADA and has played leading roles on TV, Radio. Kath was a senior lecturer in Acting for Screen at UWE for 5 years. She has taught and dircted at leading drama schools in England including RADA; CSSD; Drama Centre and BOVTS.
Location - The Bristol School of Acting, Silver Street, Bristol, BS1 2AG
Dates and times - Wednesday evenings 6.30 to 9.30 , April 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st, August 7th, 14th, 21st 2024.
Fees - £550 payable in full on or before July 31st 2024. Payment details will be sent to you.
