START ACTING RIGHT - Spring Term 2018 


If you have ever thought to yourself "I'd like to try acting" then this course is for you. A series of 8 classes on Tuesday evenings from 7.30 to 9.30. Classes are taught by Alec Fellows-Bennett who will guide you through the basic techniques of acting. You will explore and practice the work of Stanislavsky, the first actor to develop a science of acting. Other theories will be studied that will help you to understand and interpret the text in order to produce a solid, believable character and perform with dramatic intensity. The course concludes with a performance of a short scene or monologue from a modern play.

Location:  The Bristol Old Vic Theatre School - Downside Road, Bristol, BS8 2XF

Dates & times: Tuesday evenings from 7.30 to 9.30 : January 16th, 23rd, 30th, February 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th, March 6th.

Fee:  £ 225.00 for 8 evenings.
