Start Acting Right, Spring Term 2017 

If you have ever thought to yourself "I'd like to try acting" then this course is for you. A series of 8 classes on Tuesday  (or sometimes Wednesday) evenings from 7.30 to 9.30. Classes are taught by Alec Fellows-Bennett who will guide you through the basic techniques of acting. You will explore and practice the work of Stanislavsky, the first actor to develop a science of acting. Other theories will be studied that will help you to understand and interpret the text in order to produce a solid, believable character and perform with dramatic intensity. The course concludes with a performance of a short scene or monologue from a modern play.

Location:  The Bristol Old Vic Theatre School - Downside Road, Bristol, BS8 2XF

Dates & times: Wednesday evenings from 7.30 to 9.30 : May 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st; June 7th, 21st & 28th. 

Fee:  £ 225.00 for 8 evenings.
